July 15, 2004: The El Paso County Board of County Commissioners voted 4-0 (Tom Huffman absent) to deny the rezoning application to accommodate a Wal-Mart on the south side of Baptist Road. Click here to download info from the hearing.
June 15, 2004: Due to a failure by the county to post the site and send letters to adjacent property owners, the Board of County Commissioners' hearing on the Wal-Mart has been rescheduled from June 24th to July 15th, 9 am.
May 11, 2004: The El Paso County Planning Commission voted 7-1 to recommend denial of the Wal-Mart rezoning request and unanimously to recommend denial of the associated preliminary plan. The Board of County Commissioners will make a final decision on the project at a public hearing June 24th.

Volunteer for Palmer Lake boards, committees, and commissions. For more information contact Palmer Lake Town Clerk Della Gins at 481-2953.
